IMPORTANT BOOKING NOTES

Thank you for booking with Craig-y-Don Travel, we hope you will enjoy travelling with us.

Bookings
To make a booking please telephone the office on 01492 872727 or you can write to our office detailing full name and address of each person travelling, together with your telephone number, details of the holiday and any special requests for the coach or hotel. Or, you can email on craig_y_don@btconnect.com.

Which ever way you contact us the contract is made when your booking is entered onto our reservation system and we issue a confirmation of booking. We will send you the confirmation of your booking within 7 working days. Please check this confirmation to ensure all information is correct, tell us immediately of any errors.

Booking deposits required on booking. £40.00 per person UK and £60.00 per person Europe. Non refundable in the event of cancellation. Balance due 6 weeks prior to departure date - this date will be indicated on your booking confirmation invoice. Please make a note of this date, as we do not send out further Statements – we would therefore ask that you make a note in your diary, and send your final payment in on that date.

If insurance is required, please include the insurance money with your deposit on one cheque..

Cash/Cheque/Debit Card (no surcharge). Credit Card (Surcharge 1.5%)

All receipts/confirmations/documentation will be sent out to the Lead Name on the booking sheet, and it will be there responsibility to keep other members of the party informed as to departure times, pick-ups, etc.

Special Requests
Any rooming request which you have made to us, the Operator, will be forwarded to the Hotel. We, the Operator, cannot guarantee your rooming request. However, we understand from hotels we use, that every effort will be made to allocate rooms to meet your requirements. If your request is only a preference, no guarantee can be made. Where a room with special needs/facilities is essential to your travel, this will be guaranteed with the hotel prior to confirmation of booking. Where requested, we will obtain written confirmation of same. If you have any special needs/requests, dietary requirements, that we should be aware of, please let us know so that we can advise the hotel. It is easier to arrange your requirements with the hotel prior to our arrival, rather than on the day of arrival.

Special Needs
If you have any special needs or disabilities, please make sure you check with us that the hotel is able to cater for your needs, not all European hotels provide adequate facilities for guests with disabilities/mobility problems. We want you to enjoy your holiday, and have a pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable time, travelling long distances can be tiring at the best of times, so please check with us that the holiday is suitable for you, and take time to think it through that you will be able to manage yourself. If you come to the decision that the holiday is not suitable for your special needs, then perhaps we can help you select something more suitable. Itinerary and luggage labels together with pick-up times will be forwarded to your approximately 7 – 14 days prior to departure of the tour. Please remember to write your name clearly on the luggage label/s provided. Please note our coaches do not have toilet facilities on board, however we do make regular toilet/comfort stops – this allows you to exercise at the same time – which is more beneficial. Should you need an unscheduled stop, please either let us know, or press the button above your seat to alert the driver that you need to make a stop, we will then pull in at the nearest convenient facilities.

European Tours
Please remember Full Valid Passport is required. We cannot be held responsible if your Passport is not valid, or if you forget to bring this with you on your overseas holiday. Travel insurance is required when travelling abroad, this can be obtained through ourselves, or any other insurance provider of your choice.

When travelling to some countries abroad you may be required to provide us with your date of birth, together with your Passport Number. Travel Insurance: Please be advised that from 01.01.09, due to new FSA Regulations, we are no longer able to offer travel insurance to our customers direct. We cannot stress enough, the importance of taking out travel insurance. Most people think that because a holiday is being taken in the UK that it does not matter – but it does. It means you and your money are protected in the event of cancellation, or being taken ill whilst away. Remember your treatment may be covered by the NHS, but how will you return home? So think carefully before travelling without insurance. Our Brokers offer competitive rates – the policy is designed for coach travel passengers, and there are no age limits.

How is My Money Protected?
We subscribe to the Code of Conduct of the Bonded Coach Holidays Group (BCHG) of the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK. BCHG requires a bond to be taken out to provide protection for your holiday money in the unlikely event that a Member cannot, for financial reasons, carry out their obligations to their passengers.

Can I Transfer My Booking to Someone Else?
You can transfer your booking to someone else provided you give us reasonable notice. This person must be able to satisfy all the conditions for the holiday and a charge will normally be made for administration – this will be £20 per booking for every transfer we make. You will remain responsible for ensuring that the holiday is paid for by the balance due date.

Can You Change The Price of My Holiday After You Have Issued The Booking Confirmation?
Yes, we can, but only in very limited circumstances. The price of your holiday is subject to change for an increase or decrease in any of the following costs. Transportation costs including fuel (including fuel tax), ferry operator fares and tolls, embarkation or disembarkation fees at terminals Exchange rates applied to the particular holiday booked. Dues and taxes (including VAT rate). We will absorb an amount equivalent to 2% of the holiday prices, which excludes any insurance premium, and any amendment charges. If this means you paying more than an additional 10% on the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money paid. Should you decide to cancel because of this, you must exercise your right to do so within 14 days from the issue date printed on the revised invoice. Alternatively, you may prefer to take a comparable alternative holiday, if available, details of which will be provided with the revised invoice. In additional to sterling we use the following currencies in calculating our holiday prices. Below are the equivalent exchange rates to £1 sterling from the Financial Times dates November 2007. Please note that some apparent changes may not affect the price of your holiday due to contractual protection which we have in place.
