This all encompassing tour incorporates some fo the highlights of the east of Scotland, sampling a variety of Scottish produce, together with an exxciting visit to Shetland. A beautiful island rich in history. Day One - Travel North to stop overnight in Glasgow area. Day Two - Visit to Edinburgh with free time to explore the City. From here with travel to Aberdeen. Arrive in time for dinner on board the Northlink Ship before the 19:00 overnight sailing to the island of Shetland. Day Three - Arrive in Lerwick at 07:30hrs and enjoy breakfast on board. Meet our local guide for a day tour of Shetland. Visi Jarlshof, showcasing over 5000 year of civilisation including Stone Age, Iron Age & Viking dwellings. Time available to have lunch (not included) in Lerwick. Finally a visit to see the famous island ponies, before boarding our ferry for the return overnight journey to Aberdeen. Dinner on board before sailing. Day Four - Breakfast. Disembark, travel to Huntly and visit Dean's shortbreak factory. Continue North to baxters Highland Village. Experience the magic of the Baxters Story with an audio-visual presentation, browse the shop. Round off the day with a visit to Glenfiddich Distillery visit, before checking in to the 4* Mercure Ardoe House Hotel on the outskirts of Aberdeen. Day Five - Free day to explore Aberdeen. Day Six - Travel to Royal Deeside with a visit to Banchory and the lovely resort village of Ballater. Then to Balmoral Castle for our visit. From here with continue south for an overnight hotel. Day Seven - Depart after breakfast to make our way back to North Wales.
